Joris finds it extremely fascinating to enter into a dialogue with colleagues about various aspects of the music world. He likes to exchange ideas and give tips based on your own experiences on how things can be tackled in the future. As a jury member, in addition to the desired assessment, Joris certainly makes room for constructive feedback, tips, incentives, good advice and pats on the back. He is also always on the lookout for new singing and conducting talent. Joris considers it a privilege to be able to work with an organization such as Koor & Stem and to think about plans for the future that have a direct influence on the rich and thriving amateur choir world in Flanders. Giving advice in an academy about the courses and thinking along about improving those courses is essential. The seed for a rich musical life is planted with children.

Joris is currently a member of the Accreditation Committee of the European Voice Teachers Association, of the advisory council of Koor & Stem and of the Academy Council of the Music Academy for Music and Word van Lede. He is also in demand as a jury member for competitions and exams.
